Oxymetholone is world’s second best bodybuilding anabolic steroid. First one is d-bal (Methandrostenolone). It has tremendous advantages in medical field like in the treatment of anemia and in helping HIV-compromised patients to maintain their lean body mass. While according to some medical researchers, it has been observed that Anadrol is harsh because of its side effects.
An interesting fact about Anadrol is that it can be stacked with many other anabolic steroids. For example, many benefits in the steroid cycle have been observed by adding Anadrol to 50 mg of d-bal per day. However, many dramatic improvements have been observed by the addition of Anadrol to 60-80 mg of Anavar (Oxandrolone) or to 50-100 mg of Trenbolone per day. The stacking behavior of Anadrol is different from Trenbolone but is similar to that of d-bal. This is because most of its anabolic effects are not genomically mediated via the AR as Anadrol doesn’t strongly bind to androgen receptor, unlike that of Trenbolone.
Side Effects of Anadrol:
The side effects of Anadrol are only associated to the elevated levels of estrogen in the body and mostly occurs in the bodybuilders. It isn’t that Anadrol has the estrogenic activity but it itself interferes with the estrogen metabolism. As all the other anabolic steroids, Anadrol is also the one that has some problems in keeping the estrogen level in control. However, it is possible to keep the level of estrogen in control either by limiting the usage of aromatizing steroids as testosterone or by using an aromatase inhibitor Letrozole.
Liver Toxicity with Anadrol:
As many other oral anabolic steroids, Anadrol also has the same principle side effect of toxicity in liver. However, this problem can be corrected by allowing a suitable time off of the drug after each period of use or by limiting the use to 6-8 weeks. A time of even half the period of use is quite sufficient because the liver regenerates quickly. However it is more conservative to allow an equal amount of time. Anadrol seems to be less toxic than other anabolic steroids as per milligram but the ratio of toxicity is quite similar in anabolic effect per amount.
Other side effects associated with Anadrol include worsening of blood lipid profile, potential increase in blood pressure or hematocrit, temporary enlargement of prostrate, male pattern baldness and promotion of acne.
Dosages of Anadrol:
The typical use of Anadrol steroid is 50-150 mg per day. When Anadrol is stacked with some other anabolic steroid its dosage is often larger such as 300 mg per day. It seems to have much more benefits if its dosage exceeds 150 mg per day.
Anadrol for Women:
For the female bodybuilders, Anadrol is even more risky than other anabolic steroids, actually the reverse is true. A moderate rate of virilization problems have been seen by dosing 50 mg per day over extended periods. Anadrol is actually more suitable for today’s female bodybuilding and helps them a lot in gaining the muscles and losing fat. These benefits are enough to improve their physique.
Maximum benefits can be obtained by lowering the dosage to 25 mg per day and taking it as divided dosage. It is also sufficient in lowering the chances of side effects.
Virilization by Anadrol:
Just by decreasing the doses of Anadrol can be very effective in lowering the risk of virilization. It’s possible for an individual woman to be affected by the virilization in the first place, as we’ve seen some women with facial hair and voice hoarseness simply by the variation of their androgen levels.
